Why interactive quizzes

Reading about "risk tolerance" or "mortgage readiness" in the abstract does not change behaviour. Answering a sequence of structured questions and seeing your own profile reflected back does. The act of choosing — between three options describing how you would react to a 20% portfolio drop, or marking yes/no on whether you have three months of savings — forces you to look at your actual position rather than the position you would like to have.

The four Yesh Cash quizzes are deliberately short (60 seconds to 3 minutes) because longer instruments lose accuracy from fatigue. Each is calibrated to surface one decision: what investor profile to use when opening a brokerage account, what asset mix is appropriate for your time horizon, whether to schedule a meeting with a mortgage broker, and which of your financial pillars is the weakest. The scoring is published below each quiz so you can audit how the result was generated.

What makes ours different

  • Calibrated for Israel. The mortgage-readiness checklist uses Bank of Israel LTV caps; the investor-type allocations reference Israeli funds and ETFs available on TASE.
  • Methodology is public. Each quiz documents how the result is computed at the bottom of the page — no hidden weighting.
  • No email gate. The result appears on screen; nothing is sent anywhere.
  • Linked to action. Each result page points to the relevant calculator or article guide for the next step.

After the quiz

The quizzes are a starting point. Pair the investor-type result with the compound interest calculator to see what your archetype produces over 20 years. Pair the mortgage-readiness score with the mortgage calculator to test affordable price ranges. Pair financial-fitness with the budget dashboard to spot which categories are the weak pillar.

FAQ

Do the quizzes replace a financial adviser?

No. They are self-assessment instruments. A licensed adviser brings personal context, regulatory expertise, and accountability. The quizzes are a structured way to arrive prepared.

How accurate is "investor type" based on three questions?

Three questions captures the big distinctions — conservative vs aggressive — well. It does not resolve fine differences inside the "balanced" middle. Use it as a directional signal, refine via Risk Check for allocation specifics.

Are answers saved between sessions?

No. The quizzes are stateless. Refreshing the page resets the inputs.

Can I retake them?

Yes, as many times as you want. Many users retake quizzes after a major life change (marriage, birth, home purchase, career change) to see how the recommendation shifts.

Are the quizzes regulated investment advice?

No. They are educational. Personal investment advice in Israel requires a licensed adviser (yo'etz hashkaot) — these tools do not substitute for that.

Why no email signup?

The model works because there is no friction. Email signup would deter casual exploration, which is exactly when the tools are most useful.
